Where we've been

Founded upon the philosophy of ‘great design, great service, great quality and great fun’, Inspecs has grown from a small UK distributor to a worldwide design house. After over 25 years, and with licenses for brands from Superdry to O’Neill, offices on three continents, and distributors all around the globe, Inspecs has remained committed to these four simple principles.

In the early 1990s, Inspecs became the first UK company to distribute designer eyewear, beginning with French couturier Jean Paul Gaultier, and then labels such as Matsuda and Alain Mikli. A move to include high street brands followed soon after, beginning with the brand Kookaï.

Inspecs’ first licence to design and distribute eyewear was for French Connection and FCUK. Our portfolio continued to grow, with the addition of brands such as Nicole Farhi and collaborations with McLaren and Ford. Today, as well as designing for a broad range of brands, both high street and designer, Inspecs produces eyewear for multiple retailers and numerous private label projects; clients include: Luxottica Retail, Specsavers, Vision Express, and Visilab (Switzerland).
